Tasmania has always been our most favourite place in the world to holiday. For us it’s hard to put a finger on the reason why it’s so special. Its probably is a combination of its stunning natural attributes, glorious beaches and ocean, unbelievable food and wine, incredibly rich history, and a pristine and untamed natural environment. But in the end I think Tasmania’s greatest attribute or X-factor is the way it makes you feel, a sense of connection, grounding that is stirred by its people more than anything else, stress just seems to melt and time seems to move more slowly.
For us it made sense to one day buy our little piece of this paradise that always drew us back wanting more. Alto has been our work in progress to amplify everything that is so great about Tasmania. A lot of care and detail has gone into the house and landscaping to accentuate your Tasmanian experience. You are so close to the best food and wine, you can take in the mountains and the forests and the rivers & ocean all within one landscape, you can enjoy a beautiful wood fire while seeing endless stars and possibly even an Aurora, all while having some amazing animals to provide some entertainment.

Louella and Beth are your private concierges and your first point of contact when arranging your stay at Alto. They are available before, during and after your visit, providing personalised advice and recommendations on where to go, what to see and how to create a truly memorable experience.
As lifelong Huon Valley locals, they bring deep knowledge and trusted connections across the region and beyond. They share a love for fine food, music, the arts and nature, and believe in making each day count while appreciating the small, meaningful moments.

Glen Price “Pricey” & Harris
Property Maintenance Manager
Glen and Harris look after the property, ensuring everything is prepared and running smoothly for your stay. They also oversee the care and feeding of the animals, helping maintain the unique character of Alto.
Glen grew up in Franklin and has been a Huon Valley local for over 70 years. A baker by trade, he has also worked across local orchards and spent nearly 20 years with the Huon Valley Council. Deeply connected to the region, Glen brings a lifetime of knowledge and stories of the Huon.
Harris works alongside Glen, supporting the day-to-day care of the property and contributing to the warm, grounded experience that defines Alto.
Together, they are always happy to share a chat, a story or local insight to help you feel connected to the place during your stay.
Camila Bosaans
Marketing & Communications
Camila leads the marketing and communications for Alto, shaping how the brand is presented across digital platforms and guest touchpoints.
She works across website optimisation, content strategy, social media and campaign development, ensuring a consistent and considered brand experience.
